after a week of rigorous toast and jam (that's 'jelly' to most of you)-based quality tests, i have come to the conclusion that crunchy is not as revolting as once thought. well on the way to a clogged aorta now

Actually, Molecules, eating peanut and nut butters is likely to be protective for your heart (if you are simultaneously reducing consumption of saturated fats from other foods in your diet) because of the types of fats contained in nuts and legumes. So, go ahead and eat that peanut butter! (Note: This suggestion is not intended to replace the medical advice of a doctor or certified nutritionist.) I still say to beware of rocks in crunchy peanut butter, though, but that's not based on a scientific study...just my own experience.

If you are interested in the healthfulness of legumes and nuts, please see the following articles in the journals Current Atherosclerosis Reports and BMJ, the British Medical Journal:

How can anyone hate Peanut Butter? I didn't know that was possible.

That's why Columbine happened, didn't you know? Their moms should have chose Jif.

Ha ha! Sorry!

Well, every drop probably counts. Say, do you eat whole peanuts (minus the shell, of course)? I actually like making peanut butter in my mouth simply by eating roasted peanuts and chewing...is that crunchy? Is that smooth? I don't know. But I *do* know that combined with raisins in the mouth, unsalted peanuts are quite tasty...and an easy way to add in those drops of healthful nourishment. Don't know if that can combat the effects of smoking, though...but probably it doesn't hurt!

Heh heh...maybe you should start a new lounge thread called "Help with my work" where you say what topic you are researching and those of us who like to sleuth out information can make reference suggestions, so that you can spend more time on MB and actually get essays done!

It is. Freebase Dali hates peanut butter, if I recall correctly (and I probably do, heh heh--one of the little MB facts I have filed away in my noggin). I, on the contrary, am a big fan of The Peanut, which has many benefits and uses beyond mere eating. (Sorry about double posting...your post came in between me and Molecules).

I still prefer to eat a packet of Dry Roasted peanuts than gloop it on bread.

Same here. Essays are evil.

See I think about them, beat myself up about them, but take too long to actually start them! Like right now I'm procrastinating hard, the topic I have to write about I have no freaking clue. E-journals can be so damn boring! Over-edited crap. What's your major?
