For finding single albums I use blogsearch, but when I really want to check out an artist and get a few I'll use a torrent.

I don't download any other way than with torrents :) thepiratebay.com has pretty much all I need and more.

I get everything through blogs. other forum posts.
Like if I'm looking for You're Living All Over Me by dinosaur Jr. I'll google something like

"You're living all over me dinosaur jr. megaupload"
or instead of megaupload I'll do rapidshare or mediafire depending on if I find it or not.

Yeah but without demonoid it just is not the same!
Lets take today, I wanted all five Simon and Garfunkel albums... now I have two options- 1) download via public torrents (which are usually crap), or 2) Search raidshare/mediaupload/blogs for all five one album at a time.

I'm not saying I'm unhappy with these methods (it's free music!), but rather that I'm unhappy with them just in comparison to demonoid- and that life without it's magical torrents makes me realize just how much I really am going to miss it.

This post has been in loving memory of our beloved demonoid, may she rest in peace always... or better yet come back.

mediafire is definitely the best download site. Megaupload is pretty good too but rapidshare is just shit. Filestube.com is great though, because it searched for downloads from any sites

Why does anyone use anything other than mediafire? It's a pain in the ass when the damn programs start telling me I've exceeded my number of dls after waiting 100 and some odd seconds. I think I've gotten stuff from filestube.com before, but not sure.

What's what.cd like? I've hearded loads about it but never actually been able to use it (I think you need an invite).
