I've been married for almost two years and still, a telemarketer called me recently: "Have I reached Mr. and Mrs. [SGR]"? And reflexively I said, nah, but you've reached their son. Still not used to being referred to as a collective with my wife as Mr. and Mrs. Some things take time I suppose.

That's probably the biggest problem with comedy today. People think Funny=Funny, and a sitcom writer, a standup comic, and a John Oliver type aren't the same thing.
