It did in South London and was a reaction to post punk. Some fans just wanted to hear a basic Punk sound. Brutal and to the point and it's original aim was certainly not to be racist. In fact the first skinheads listened to Ska and Rocksteady in the U.K in the late 60's/early 70's.

Oi was a movement which originated in the UK, yes. What I meant more was the U.S. has a fairly large White Pride movement with several RAC (Rock Against Communism, which would later become nearly synomonous with Oi) bands that have identified themselves with Oi.

And when I refer to "skinhead" i'm talking about the ethic, not the look

EDIT: Also, I understand it started as a non-racist movement - but now the only "Oi!" bands, or fans of "Oi" bands are asssoicated with the RAC scene. Essentially, it's become a genre enjoyed almost exclusively by different white nationalist supporters.

I do think you should have included some of this in your original post. Certain sections of the genre fans have indeed used it to political ends but the scene as a whole will be completely misunderstood by your OP I feel. A little more background research may have been needed before pinning a whole musical scene as racist.

I know that wasn't your intention and I myself hate the fact that certain music is used a thin veil to vent spleen on issues when good old rhetoric would suffice but when such strong issues as this are brought forth then background info is key.

#5: Negative People

If you don't like something that you know I like, WHY are you constantly at me about how much you hate it? There's nothing worse then being around a negative person. Now just because you have the blues every now and then or aren't Mr. Happy Shorts all the time doesn't mean you fit my definintion of a negative person. No, my definition is measurable and based in science.
There are several species of potential negative people. I've narrowed them down to 2.
The first is known as lèd vajen scroumso (lit. ugly vagina) because their faces are often so sour they resemble the scraggly reproductive organs of an aged human female. They are the close cousins of the scrotuoul labellum (lit. sad small penis) of the genus twatic-pigmaus. The way the scrotuoul labellum differ from the lèd vajen scroumso is in their musical preferences. While the lèd vajen scroumso often enjoy atleast one artist they deem worthy, the scrotuoul labellum don't enjoy anything as a whole but rather pick and choose "some songs" which they find "O.K" or even worse, some "parts of songs" which are "alright:.

Negative people will be discussed more in a following post but that's all for now.

Why? Because there aren't enough children in the world. Because there aren't enough reality shows on television. And because there aren't enough pseudo-Christian-fundelmentalists out there preaching abstinence from hand-holding.

It's a sick thought but it has to come to one's mind that Ms. Duggar keeps shelling out the babies to keep their TLC reality show interesting. Although I heard somewhere that they have so many kids because they don't believe in birth-control. Something about not wanting to destroy God's little miracles. I think Bill Hicks said it best on Rant in E-Minor:
