Gonna agree with this one. The main reason we eat animals is pretty much because we can, and they taste good. Are we gonna start holding trials to prosecute birds of prey for killing other birds? What about when your beloved cat catches and eats a rat? I'm sure the rat was leading a charmed life up until it met its painful doom at the hands of a rampaging, bloodthirsty feline killing machine.

If you argue that humans have intelligence superior to that of other animals, then humans also have the capacity for superior ethics and superior compassion. Which means we can't justify our 'natural' behavior in terms of what the 'lower' animals do.

Yet if someone chooses not to eat meat and doesn't try to force their beliefs on to you or judge you in any way for eating meat, then can we not show the same respect for them?

That burger looks putrid. I would take broccoli over that any day of the week. That said, I eat animals, yes.

WTF is all that stuff below the burger and around it?

Salads are always going to luck more enticing with all of their colors. It's hard to find a picture of a "nasty salad".

I'd still rather eat the burger...
