I never said anything about destroying everything we survive on, so yes I understand what you are saying there.

I guess the difference of opinion comes with the superiority argument. I feel like because of the intellectual and emotional capacity, and because humans possess the intelligence and skills to create things that are beneficial, we are superior.

skaltezon, I can't tell if you are being sarcastic or being serious.

I'm trying to be serious without being offensive. How'm I doing?

Not very good. That post where you quoted me and said it's off-topic threw me off a little. Wasn't sure if you were being sarcastic or serious. Off-Topic? I'm talking about the only topic we are even talking about.

Then you disagree with my earlier post?

This would seem to rule out arguments about there being no reason not to eat meat, wouldn't it? \

Topics naturally shift and diversify. If they didn't, this thread would contain a few extremely boring one-sentence posts about whyfor, and that would be the end of it. You can't give a good discussion such strict parameters.

Your ideal forum sounds incredibly Q&A.

Well, that's just my opinion. The digression seems pointless to me and not as interesting as the proper topic.

I think that a person's opinion about their place in the scheme of the environment and other animals is pretty integral to the idea of veganism. I'm a meat eater, and even I know that.
Questioning why often raises more questions that you should be willing to confront.

If that's the new topic I can roll with it.
