Without trying to provoke anything else (though I'm really not sure how much else you could possibly squeeze out of this particular topic!), if I were to list my pressing issues of being a woman, 'having' to shave would be pretty low down.
Personally, I don't give a c rap whether ancient Egyptians shaved their body hair or a fat Corporate Pig decided to make money out of it. For me it's a norm that I choose to enjoy like putting on make up for a night out and I'm pretty sure most women feel the same...
Never before have I had to read so deeply into what I considered such a trivial subject

Obviously not so trivial. And I don't know why you put having in quotations, it's obviously a social imperative, regardless whether most women unthinkingly conform to it, and as such very much deserves to be questioned.

Nobody will think any less of you.
I've not washed or styled my hair today. I hardly think L'Oréal or Brylcreem are quaking in their boots at my 'political statement'.

I wish you'd learn to stay quiet when you have nothing intelligent to say.

And you. It's clear to anyone with half a brain that the two issues are not comparable as far as the way society reacts to them.
