Even peer reviewed journal articles can have flaws with their data because not all researchers are well versed in statistics and can take parts of their data instead of the true results. This is sometimes because they want to create certain results so they can get more government funding.

Exactly, Statistics can be easily manipulated and like you say it's based off of a collection of data and vary depending on how it's computed. At best it is just a really technical estimation.

Yeah that's why I don't drive through suburbs because I get stares from white folks and it definitely isn't the silly **** I am wearing on that day that is causing them to stare at me. They are just racist. Stares are hurtful and I know they are just being hateful of me because I'm not one of them.

Well I was talking about actual scientific studies, not just random statistics.

Dude, not sure if you're givin me attitude or what, but where I live most people over the age of 30 are a certain amount of racist, and a lot of people younger than that too.

And yeah, if you're hangin out in white dominated areas and getting stared at, it IS because you're black. Sorry to burst your bubble. Works the other way around too if that makes you feel any better.

I can't see being "stared at" as racist. There has to be something else (other than someone looked at me) that reveals some kind of antipathy before you accuse someone something as serious as being a racist. Otherwise you are being a thought-police and then go on to make slanderous accusation about person you know very little about and participating in what you are denouncing - being prejudice. Sometimes it is better to chalk up an incident as something you don't know what the other person is thinking then to fill in the blanks and hurting yourself with thoughts that never really entered the other person's mind. And if someone give you a snide look it is indicative of who they are not who you are.

"Other racists"? WTF are you talking about. I grew up in an ALL black neighborhood, never had a problem when I lived in predominantly black neighborhoods of Denver with white roommates. People probably stare at you because you're an ignorant asshole. Sorry.

Got so mad about that you took me out of your sig. There goes my reason for living...

Coming from the mean streets of 8 mile and Harper. I guess the outskirts of Detroit are a different animal than Denver, Colorado.
