I think that might be the worst confession I've ever read on this thread

Hopefully they'll close it.

People make fun of other people, especially in school. You can't really be expected to know when one of the people getting made fun of is going to die. If she hadn't it would have just been considered garden variety douchebaggery. He probably feels more guilty about it, but just because she happened to die it doesn't make James any worse of a person.

Thankyou Batlord. Yeah, I was just as awful before as I am now.
To be honest, I'm not ashamed of my controversial sense of humour and lack of sensitivity. I make up for it in other ways. There are much worse qualities to have. I'd rather make jokes about taboo subjects than dwell on them and be miserable.

There is an app for that. Might want to look it up.

Yeah, I completely agree. Some people I've made fun of will probably die at some point.

It was more the incredibly frank phrasing of the post that shocked me

Everyone I've talked to has or will die.

Wpnfire 03-18-2014 07:25 PM

Oh my god. I am literally laughing my ass off at the things being said in this thread. Especially this

Butthead what you said wasn't funny at all, it was just that we were talking about equality and religion and then you come in with some racist ****. lol

Also, DJ my dad has a giant framed picture of that quote, "there are three kinds of lies..."

You're not racist, man. Just avoiding other racists. ****, if you're not black and go somewhere surrounded by black folk they're gonna be staring at you. And some of them might hate you for not being one of them. Not a comfortable situation to be in.

There are lies damn lies and then there are statistics. You are putting your faith in the wrong thing bro.

Most statistics are pulled out of thin air on the internet. You need to do checks and find out what the significant difference is using various methods. The 95 or 99% confidence level can help but you can get false positives so the most important aspect is to have a decent sized sample size (dependent on the type of data you are measuring). Even peer reviewed journal articles can have flaws with their data because not all researchers are well versed in statistics and can take parts of their data instead of the true results. This is sometimes because they want to create certain results so they can get more government funding.
