Like I said, don't hate poor people, just don't much in common with them in general, which limits our conversation choices, and if we can't talk about anything past the weather than what basis is there for any kind of friendship? I don't even think I'm very odd. I think most people are the same, they just don't like saying it. How many friends do you have who have drastically more or less money than you? And if you do is there anything you have in common with them that gives you chemistry that you don't have in common with the rest of the people in their economic class?

So do poor people not have hobbies? Last time I checked they do. I have a best friend who's poor but she works hard even so. Next you will be telling me poor people are lazy. I had a boyfriend years ago who was living under the poverty line, we still had a great time together. It's more insulting to me that you are putting these people in one box, as though they don't have personalities, ambitions or interests. Cause I obviously wasn't speaking in generalities. I was obviously saying that every last poor person was a carbon copy cookie cut out. You got me.

Sure I've met poor folks who I clicked with. My best friend comes from a poor background, but he's a neurotic, socially awkward nerd, so we're cool. But the ratio of poor nerds (and other kinds of nerds) vs. middle class nerds is disproportionate, hence why the number of my friends who are middle class is also disproportionate.

No, I've explained my point many times. People just like to go off half-cocked when they see a controversial statement cause it's easier than actually considering what the person is actually trying to say. It's why trolls work and it's why politicians have to read off of a script.

Honestly I've never really known any rich people that I can think of so I wouldn't know.
