Nah I'm just not a fan of children needlessly dying, probably one of the few passions I have tbh. If you have other anti-science views I'll probably give you a little **** but overall I don't really care. If you're anti-vax I will give you **** because the consequences are dire. Sorry if you happen to be on that side (you never actually said which side you're on, so I'll wait for that so you don't accuse me of "free association" :D).

I also (again) highly recommend watching this.

Silly frowny. Critical thinking isn't learned; it's unlearned.

What? Humans don't come out of the womb as rational beings, it's actually quite the opposite.

ChelseaDagger 08-17-2015 03:33 PM

Be honest though... You love having this discussion with me because you keep coming back for more. You're trying to pin me down (metaphorically speaking of course) and its bothering you that I'm not fitting perfectly inside that little box that you're trying to squeeze me in. That's because I'm too claustrophobic for that ****.

Yes, Rationality is learned. So is programming. What's your point?

Frownland 08-17-2015 03:36 PM

What exactly do you think critical thinking is?

This story about greasy burgers is turning out to be quite the confession.

Who would have thought burgers would be greasy. I usually head to this place. Pretty good options.

Someone who has never given birth to a breech baby without painkillers, doesn't get to pull the "I care for kids more than you do" card on people who have.

"Perhaps you should tell me," she says in an ironic tone.

... And I think you're confusing "holier than thouism" with good old-fashioned condescension.

Yes I do. Imagine if someone was not feeding their kid enough out of fear of her child becoming obese? I don't have to have shat out a kid to tell her that's ****ed up, even if her intentions are good.

I was just rather confused since you think that it's different from rationality when in reality the two are synonymous.
