Yes, the standards of science are quite hilarious. Typical government shills expecting me to believe anything they say! Pffah! We're smarter than that. :D

If you want me to further beat your ass :D in discussion on science, feel free to click this link: http://www.musicbanter.com/current-e...0077-gmos.html.

I can make a vaccines thread too but I'm not sure which side of that you're on. :D

Our new neighbors seem to be relatively quiet (apart from their ridiculous need to slam their front door) but I'm still kind of disappointed that people live there now. I was starting to become fond of the silence, and the lack of anxiety over possibly having to endure a social interaction on my way out the door at any given time.

LOL, but you could probably make an accurate hypothesis where I stand.

If you're anti vax I certainly hope you don't have children for their sake.

Really, try to change your approach to science. You're only hurting yourself with this "enlightenment".

ChelseaDagger 08-17-2015 02:00 PM

I never claim to be enlightened. I digest information, draw conclusions, and reap the benefits or consequences to those conclusions. Like an adult with personal accountability.

We've both been exposed to all the same information; we've just drawn different conclusions from that information. However, my own image management didn't factor in to those conclusions, which you keep insinuating. If you think my opinions win me any social points for "enlightenment", you're kidding yourself.

And don't bring my kids into this. If I want to hear that tampon of an argument, I'll sign up for cafemom.

Right, so me taking a scientific approach being likened to "obeying Mr. Hall Monitor" doesn't reek of holy-than-thouism? However you come about your opinions doesn't matter, but if you don't have evidence to back it up in scientific situations then your opinion is not valid, at least not in discussion. From what I've read so far from you, it sounds like you're not approaching it with critical thinking in mind but just aligning yourself with whichever side you already agree with or that you're only critical of the side you already oppose. You need to be skeptical of both sides. Science relies on skepticism so that it can self-correct and advance.

I brought it up (didn't even know you had kids) because not vaccinating your kids is a form of child endangerment. There's no arguing about that.

Keep kids out of it. For a non-parent to bring it up is just plain douchey.

IMO.

Douche away though.

I'd say it's waaaaaay douchier to let your kid die from completely preventable diseases but hey that's just me.
