Is it just me, or does it seem like there's a pressure for guys to have a high number of partners, and pressure on girls to have a low number?

yea thats what my room mates and i were talking about

they are both male, and 31. i found it interesting to hear their point of view on numbers, on my numbers, and on the numbers of women they date
