Once I was at a hockey game with 5 friends and we were talking about this kid(who is actually one of my best friends now, but we were only aquantences back then), who had just gotten a mohawk.

I said "He looks like a ****ing idiot with his mohawk." Right as he was coming up to say hi to us.

He was like "Wow, thanks *******." I tried to play it off like I was joking and we all just laughed about it. It's pretty funny looking back, but I felt like such a douche at the time.

****ing idiot is kind of extreme. Really, talking about any of your friends to the point where they know (and trust me they know) you are serious, just makes you look like a douche and a bad friend. You could have been straight up and said that it didn't look good, but it's always shady to talk about someone who you consider a friend.
I must admit though, we all do or did it at one point though.

Has anyone had to sit next to the really grumpy, overall ******* on a plane ride. That could really suck, and it just makes flying that much worse.
And it really sucks when you have to take a piss, and they are asleep, I feel like such a wuss for just sitting there, an idiot for not going sooner, and an ass for waking them up.

He did say it wasn't his friend at the time though.

This morning I went into a small non-brand coffee shop and asked for a Grande Mocha.
"This isn't Starbucks."
*silence*
"Sorry."

That's not that bad...

One of the situations I've been in a lot is this...

You are talking to a friend...

"Hey you know "x" band?"

"Yeah, I do..." they begin to un-zip their jacket...

"One of the worst bands, they ****ing suck!"

They zip up their jacket, and you later notice they were wearing that band t-shirt.

I'd have said "I'm well aware of where I am, now give me a coffee."

Staff that get mouthy to customers

Still, all you have to say is "You mean large?"

If it was a well known coffee house than yeah, it's almost like a slap in the face, if you think about it.
