.angie. 04-02-2005 01:04 PM

what made him so sick?

Anarchy doll 04-02-2005 01:05 PM

so who is the new pope gonna be then?

hookers with machineguns 04-02-2005 01:07 PM

well he's not dead yet so I'll comment later.

.angie. 04-02-2005 01:09 PM

lots of people have died/will die in the past week. terry schivo. and the pope. thats kinda sad. its not really a lot of people but still.

hookers with machineguns 04-02-2005 01:11 PM

It's Terry *Shiavo. And, she already died. Unless you're the Pope's doctor, I wouldn't make such a prediction just yet.

.angie. 04-02-2005 01:13 PM

sorry for the misspelling. but they were like interupting shows ever five minutes for updates and he is in critical condition and he's super old. but there is a chance he could get throught it.

hookers with machineguns 04-02-2005 01:16 PM

okay, now I'm seeing on the news that he's dead.

.angie. 04-02-2005 01:20 PM

thats sad. what are they going to do now. are they going to have the bishop be the temporary replacement untill they fine a new pope?

.angie. 04-02-2005 01:21 PM

thats sad. what are they going to do now. are they going to have the bishop be the temporary replacement untill they find a new pope?

.angie. 04-02-2005 01:22 PM

whoops, somehow that got sent twice.

ladyluckrules 04-02-2005 02:11 PM

they have nine days of mourning and something happens that's all traditional where the new pope is elected

Tommyrocker 04-02-2005 03:13 PM

Actually, in about 15-20 days a whole new methods being launched, under the late pope's instructions. Hes 'modified' it but its still the ancient tradition. they have to find the rightful succeedor, you cant have just anyone on the catholic 'throne' can ya now.

ladyluckrules 04-02-2005 03:41 PM

just how many reports are on t.v right now, i bet there are hardly any programs on

riseagainstrocks 04-02-2005 04:32 PM

no a group of 117 cardinals will take care of business while electing a new pope.

this "one guy" was pivotal in the fall of communism which would have affected us eventually. he brought religions together so basically prevented war. he saved countless numbers of jewish lives during the second world war. he was pure goodness who "loved everyone"- something that unfortunately you do not see in most people today. thats why he will be so greatly missed.

Trauma 04-03-2005 04:30 PM

I heard he had like Parkinson's but I doubt that because he kept travelling until he died, yes very, very sad.

ArtistInTheAmbulance 04-03-2005 04:31 PM

He did have Parkinsons... He was ill for ages.

Tommyrocker 04-03-2005 04:33 PM

yes, and he STILL gave the easter address to his adoring recipients. THAT, ledzep the second, is why we are "having a fit" over it. he was truely a strong person who didn't ever give up. What are you? **** on his shoe? not even close.

ArtistInTheAmbulance 04-03-2005 04:36 PM

Well Im not making such a huge fuss over it as everyone else, but you gotta admire him for that. I still think its amazing he got to his age with Parkinsons, let alone to manage to give a last message to everyone...

Trauma 04-03-2005 04:46 PM

Yes, I'm also Orthodox BlackTShirtGirl? and my Kum had Parkinsons for over 30 years and I don't believe he could have EVER travelled anywhere or even spoken for that matter..Yeah, he died on my birthday as a matter of fact, one of the things in my life that I find truly freaky.
BUT, the Pope truly was a great man, he'll be missed..the next pope will be evil, I can feel it in my blood.

Sweet Jane 04-03-2005 05:18 PM

The newspapers over here had a front page that said the Pope was dead before he even passed away, which is quite sickening really. RIP John Paul.

covle 04-04-2005 12:34 AM

i guess the world will now be awaiting a puff of smoke in the vatican.
he wasnt the biggest fan of women, and the whole "year of the three popes" things are a bit shady, but i still have a tremendous amount of respect for him. he was a good man. anybody think he will be remembered as john paul the great? as many people are calling for over the world

blackTshirt 04-04-2005 01:33 AM

well may he rest in peace that's all i got to say

He helped out at the Gas chambers saving lives, this was close to his heart, he was from poland ya know. Also, Iraqi people are more rebels than anything else. He has done the most for religion since ooh i dunno.. a carpenters son got put up on a cross to save humanity.

Just because of your beliefs you can't dismiss other religious leaders, that's just for catholics really

he was in the polish resistance- which means he was resisting nazi rule in poland and saving jews from ghettos. iraqi's are fighting because they are revolting against US and British Troops, they want freedom. and then of course theres always palestine and the saddam hussain factor- though that has now diminished with his demise..

Wow, talk about oversimplifying to a rediculous extent. Do you have any idea how complicated the situation in the middle east is? It goes back to centuries and centuries of conflict and hate. How could you possibly expect one man to be able to solve the problem. The fact that he even made a tiny scratch on the surface of them problem is a huge testimony to how much he accomplished in life. On a side note, I'm not remotely religious, at all, so don't think that I'm writing this because I feel obligated to defend him from a religious standpoint. I do however follow the situation in the middle east, and not only the present situation, but the history of the conflict and the major events from the past few decades. Judging by your post, you barely have even the slightest idea of how complex the problem really is.

covle 04-04-2005 11:49 PM

i want to see a black pope. that would be a bold statement. 60% of catholics arent white, american or european. of the three, well favourites i guess you could call them, one of them is black. were he to be elected, i believe that could be one step closer to aiding the african community and finally erasing the blacks/whites debacle. it wont solve it, that may never happen, but it would be a huge progress. screw traditionalism. the modern world is continually changing. john paul saw that, the vatican must now see it also.

Waynegrow 04-05-2005 05:16 AM
