^ I haven't seen that movie since it was first released, but that skit has remained clearly in my mind ever since.

I just saw Tinsley Ellis play a show last night, and he told a story about B.B. King playing a show for teens which he attended as a 15 year old, and how B.B. stayed after the show to meet the kids and chat/pose for pictures/sign autographs for "what seemed like a couple of hours" and how unbelievably kind and gracious he was. He also said that, as a young musician, "everything sort of fell into place for me after that."

I got to see B.B. a couple of times, and although I never got the chance to meet him, I got the impression that he was a class act both on and off the stage.

R.I.P.

Read an interview with him years ago where he talked about what he expected from his touring band. Show up on time well groomed and straight. No smoking, drinking, or swearing on stage. And treat your lady well - at all times.

Class act all the way.

Ahhh, man. Tears.

Ah, ****! The King is dead! :( RIP man. Who'll look after Lucille now? :(

King was profound.

I don't really know what else to say.

Ross Dawson, drummer for Late of the Pier.

Friday I believe? They haven't said how he's died, it's just labeled a tragic accident. Car accident perhaps. Isn't their debut record fucking stellar though? It's so sad, I always wanted them to make another album.

'Beautiful Mind' mathematician John Nash killed in crash - BBC News

F*ck the Turnpike.

Also, wear your f*cking seatbelts people. It's the easiest thing to do that will save your life. Honestly can't understand how a mind like that could choose not to wear one while another person whom he doesn't know is behind the wheel. Boggles my mind.
