Music Banter - The Rest in Peace Thread (RIP)

Bummed about the passing of Leon Redbone. I had just Googled him THE AFTERNOON BEFORE HIS DEATH to make sure he was still alive. By the next morning, Wikipedia had been updated and Rolling Stone published news from his official website stating that he died at the ripe old age of 127.

I have all his original LPs, but just learned about the Third Man Records archival pressing of his performances of early Delta blues standards recorded at my local university two years before his first album was released. I absolutely must track down a copy of that one.

Rest well, old man.

F*cking goddammit. I'm a huge fan. I'm sad. He's on the shortlist of people I needed to see before they passed. He played two years ago and was hoping for one more tour so I can see the legend. Looks like I'm spinning Gris Gris tonight.
