While you kneejerk liberals go around wishing him an eternity in Hell, please note that he A) shouted down his own handlers when they tried to prevent him from answering a tough question concerning the Iraq War (the Tim Russert incident if you're curious), B) He endorsed Obama in the 2008 election and C) Endorsed Hilary Clinton, who he no doubt couldn't stand, because he knew the alternative was so much worse.

So, yes, Trollheart, people do care. Despite his foibles, Powell cared about the US above anything else; a knee jerk Republican he wasn't.

I'm sure he was a war criminal with a heart of gold. You know Rudolf Hess risked his life flying into enemy territory to make peace with the British. A real unappreciated hero.

Wow, I didn't realize Powell was despised that much.

Look, I'm not glossing over the fact that he carried the water for Herr Bush during his first term (and I'm sure a lot of his anti-Trump rhetoric was out of loyalty to the same crowd). He did look like a fool when he announced the weapons of mass destruction line at the UN. Still, compared to the neo-cons like Rumsfeld and Cheney (or Kissinger for that matter), he really doesn't look all that bad.

Anyway, when you wish bad things for people you disagree with, well, it doesn't make for a peaceful world when the other side does the same thing to you.

I will, however, make an exception if something not so nice happens to Trump. ;)
