my cat died today. I can't really process it properly because he was with my mom in Holland and I'm here in the UK so it feels a bit unreal. RIP Poekie, the affectionate big goof :(

I'm so sorry, Marie. I know from experience you can really get attached to pets.

thanks. I didn't get to see him that often during the last few years of course but we had a very good bond

Sorry to hear Marie.

Sorry to hear that Marie. When my parents' cat died in 2010 it messed me up for a while.

I know how you feel. A couple years ago I put my cat of 11 to sleep. She died right in front of my eyes. I never cried harder in my life, she was a really special cat. |

Really sorry to hear that Marie. As you all know, I've seen five cats in the last twenty years off to Kitty Heaven, and it gets tougher every time. I'm sure your little guy is up there playing with my lads and lassies now, Marie. What age was he, if it's not too painful to talk about him?

Wow! That is one hell of an age! 126! He must have been going around in a cat wheelchair! I think Eddie was that age too, but he was riddled with cancer. :( Time comes when you just have to think of the little guy and let him go. Doesn't make it any easier, but he'll be chasing mice in Kitty Heaven now.
