God damn it. I hate when I see this thread has new posts. It's the one thread I wish was as inactive as any of my failed ones. RIP Jeff. Another legend gone.

You know, you think about it: when all these rock gods are gone, who's left to replace them and be mourned when they pass? Taylor Swift? Ed ****ing Sheeran? I don't think so. I believe we're seeing the end of an era which we are unlikely to see rise again. Which makes it hurt more.

Taylor Swift is fine, you're just old.

Ed Sheeran on the other hand, well the nicest thing I can say about him is he's not Lewis Capaldi.

RIP Jeff.
First Beck song I ever heard. Was sitting in a crowded and noisy pizza restaurant and this was being piped over the sound system. It caught my ear and I asked the owner what it was. Somehow they had this same Beat Club live recording on the restaurant's playlist.

RIP. Really only know him from Blow by Blow. Probably should rectify that.

Have to echo Trolls here. We're losing these icons one by one. There are still some left but most of them are approaching eighty or even older. It won't be long before we are mourning yet another rock icon.

Maybe they'll be replaced by the survivors of the eighties and nineties, but somehow I don't see people putting Bono in quite the same league as Jagger.

I think about this too. My son often tells me, "Mom, you're going to be really sad if something happens to Paul [McCartney]."

I've been thinking of Paul every time I hear that a 60s rockstar passes. I'm named after McCartney's birth first and middle names. That loss is going to be devastating.

Heck, after all these years, I still haven't gotten over John Lennon.

So cool that you were named after Paul's first and middle names, ISB! James Paul. I like both those names very much. Your parents chose well.

My son's middle name is Harrison...after you-know-who.

rubber soul, John's death was horrible and I'm still not over that one either.
