On work days I drink AT LEAST a gallon of water a day. I let myself get dehydrated at work before and it’s agonizing with all the cramps and spasms. Once you’re dehydrated it takes hours to get right again. The dishroom is like a sauna. It’s wet and hot as hell and your body never cools. I pop into the walk-in freezer to cool my body temperature down, too.

Another dishwasher complained that I stopped too often to drink water and I went so crazy it was very close to a fist fight.

It probably takes five minutes out of every hour including the pisses.
