I'm only using the same tactic that you are using by only referring to long range confrontations which of course guns would be superior

the scenarios that you were constantly coming up with would always but the gun at the advantage

I wonder if people get caught in the crossfire of a ninja shuriken fight.

ninjas are deadly accurate with their shurikens

but if gang members started to attempt to use them then people would get caught in the crossfire of them and die as well

All I know is if gangsters start carrying throwing stars, they're gonna lose all credibility with me.

why is that?

Ninjas are cool because they throw stars and are stealth-like but gangsters lose cred over it?

I would feel safer knowing that I have the right to bear arms than rather the government and the criminals (sometimes one in the same) having all of them. Outlawing guns will only rid guns for the law abiding.

15 feet is considered close combat to you?

Is there some reason why we should limit the conversation to things that are "close combat"?

yes because your personal anecdotal experience speaks for the entire country and latter part of your statement is a bit of my point based off of what Vanilla was saying earlier.
Yes because baseless generalizations speak for the entire country.

Some people seem to think that taking away guns will change things and they will be safer without guns around but that's not the case at all.

People outside of America going around using examples about their country and saying well if it's safer here with strict gun laws then it should work for America true which is faulty logic based off of our violent culture as a whole more so related to gang activity.
What is your proof that America is more violent? You seem to have no evidence for this assumption, but you are absolutely married to it.
