Whatever the relationship, death is never easy. I am sorry that Elaine is no longer with you, Lee.

Whenever I've lost a loved one, I've made a concious decision to carry them with me as much as I can. To think about things they taught me, or just things that always inspired me to recognize that I have it pretty good. This is pretty lame, but sometimes I make my passwords to things phrases they'd use, or things we had in common so I'm forced to remember them every day.

I hope she stays in your heart forever, Lee.

I never really know what to say in the face of loss, being someone who doesn't handle sympathy well, so I'll share with you the words that helped me, and hope that they bring comfort.

It will get easier with time.
