Haha! I don't get the question either, but I didn't want to complain because I thought I'd look dumb for missing something obvious. Clearly I'm not the only one.

Maybe this thread is about appreciating two talented, modern, influential women. Maybe this thread is trying to see which characteristics, we as a society, value more highly.

It's a small lenient study in women's objectification and portrayal in media. If you could please just provide an opinion, it would go a long way.

Damn, I should've realised you were this unrelenting before I dared to intervene.

Though various sub-culture mediums she is, i e various internet social media/pop news/hip hop outlets. The song "gucci gucci" has over 20 million views on youtube, and picked at number 18 on the billboard charts.

She's not Eva Peron (yet) but she's still influential in the ever faster stratosphere of the internet.

The books are horrible because they're horrible. The only thing disgusting about them is how they pander to a left-liberal sentiment in a rather idiotic manner; the plucky journalist, the abused girl who's really a genius but the government officials just don't get it, etc.

Christ, nearly every woman in the series is a sort of Feminist super-hero; the body builder, the hacker, the manager, etc. Contrast this to portrayal of males in the books; the only ones who are portrayed in a consistently positive manner are "the plucky journalist", "the jewish cop", "the immigrant brazilian boxer", etc.

I read the series, so there is redeeming entertainment value, but for ****s sake....

LINK - women like being eyeballed, and have a crisis of confidence when men stop eyeballing them them. So, please, stop saying they're "objectified".

Anyways, push come to shove, I'd take the girl playing Lisbeth.
