Nope, Kibbeh is meat wrapped in dough. It is not superior. I just did wikipedia research plus you can clearly see the dough/corn meal or whatever they use in that pic that you posted.

we have some things that are very similar to empanadas

we have fatayer bil lahme



lahme b'ajeen



and arayes lahme



basically all three are like... bread and meat. they do taste different tho... i like arayes lahme best
