Lance Armstrong can handle this one for me, you're not worth my time.

Eh? How does that article contradict what I said? It stated: The study found that one out of six children who scored normal on the BMI scored a high percentage of body fat. One out of four children labeled as obese by the BMI scored a normal percentage of body fat.
- in other words, for 75% of the children labeled obese.... they were obese by other metrics. The one quarter you're referring to would qualify as outliers. Ditto for the 16.6% who qualified as healthy by the BMI but were shown to have a high percentage of body fat by other tests.

I think it's interesting how much judgement is going on when I've seen only Jackhammer look at himself for comparison. And he is good looking inside and out. I think there are some unreasonable expectations for woman to be a certain size. That comes from men's unrealistic view on how women should look and how the so called 'sisterhood' weigh unfair judgement on each other.

I don't understand why this is even a debate. Everyone is beautiful no matter what they want to do with their life, their appearance, etc.

People shouldn't judge other people until they take a look in the mirror and go "yeah, i'm happy with how I look".

It's great to be happy with the way you look, I applaud any size 16 girls that are proud of the way they look.

Vanilla asked the question, if she's sensitive to the answers maybe not creating a thread in the first place would've been the better idea.

I'm pretty suspicious of all these people who claim they put no stock into physical attraction. Can't say I buy it. Humans are developed to be physically and mentally attracted to the opposite gender. It's why I'm not asexual.

Also, I've seen no statistics on average women's sizes, but based on my own experience, most girls my age (20 years old) look smaller than size 16.

I don't put any sort of stock on physical attraction. I know when a girl or guy is good looking or bad looking, but that doesn't necessarily make them a bad person.

If you aren't willing to accept other's opinions you shouldn't bother making the thread.

Everyone has been pretty reasonable.

EDIT:my bad tuna you said it already. You guys are fast, guitar bizzare wrote all that damn.

Did I say anything about judging a person's character by their physical features?

I'd go out on a limb and say some of the nastiest, lowest people I've met are the most attractive.

My apologies. I must've completely made an assumption on your post without actually taking into consideration of what you were saying.

I'm not being sarcastic either.

It's ok. There's been a lot of misunderstanding in this thread in general.

If people cant take criticism about their bodies then they need to work on their self esteem. I have been skinny my entire life and constantly have people that will say something about it but I like my body for the most part because I have spent time making it healthier and learned to accept my natural limitations.

I also realize that I dont find supermodels the most attractive women on the planet, I know many girls I see everyday that I like way more physically. Beauty is everywhere and in many shapes and sizes.
