Mine is pretty stupid.
Back in the school days I listened to a lot of grindcore.
A friend jokingly called me grindy. Once.
It stuck in my memory for some reason.
I use it as a nickname from time to time, when I have to quickly register somewhere.
Since I didn't think I'd be active here a lot, I used it without much thought.
Somehow pointless to register on a music site under a nickname referring to a genre you aren't even really into anymore.

Thanks guys.
Now I consider legally changing my name to Grindy, with my avatar as the photo in my ID.

Whenever I'm asked what my interests are I always say MUSIC first and foremost! For reasons unknown I started calling myself a "music whore" around 1989 when the topic came up. Somehow the name stuck with me! When I stumbled on to 'MusicBanter' back in June this year I thought I might as well use it since I'm on a "general" site that covers ALL kinds of music from ALL kinds of fans from ALL walks of life! It's in that spirit that I decided to call myself 'Musicwhore A-Z'. It works perfectly ( ) !!
