The 2012 Music Banter User Awards: NOMINATIONS!

After taking some time to think about it, here are my nominations:

Best Avatar: Chives: it's just so damn sexy!
Sexiest Member (Male): RVCA (sorry, I'm straight but DAMN he's handsome! Those eyes!)
Sexiest Member (Female): Vanilla/Hermione
Most Inane: HHBH -- always seems to make a mountain of a molehill and has to back up his points with many, many urls. Plus his phrase "lolwut" drives me crazy!
Angriest Member: See above. Also Urban, and Engine too.
Biggest Drama Whore: HHBH
Nicest Member: Janszoon, Lisnaholic, Jackhammer
Best Debater: Not sure about this. Janz is a pretty good debater. The best? I don't know. Big3 makes a lot of sense too.
Worst Debater: One more for HHBH. "Lolwut" is not a response.
Best Writer: Jansz, Anteater, Mr Dave
Biggest Virtuoso: Haven't heard anything by anyone so I'll pass on this.
Smartest Poster: Not really sure what that means, so again I'll pass
Funniest Member: Batlord, Exoskeletal, Howard (RIP)
Best Mediator: Probably between Jansz and Urban
Biggest Troll: Me! No seriously: HHBH once again.
Most Improved Member: Big Ears. He started off really quietly, voiced a desire to start a journal and man has he taken off!
Most Underrated Poster: Big Ears again
Most Obscure Music Taste: Has to be Jackhammer!
Best Music Taste: Subjective, so I couldn't say really. In my own preferred sphere, probably Ant or Unknown Soldier
Biggest Music Nerd: Jackhammer again. Is there anything he doesn't know about music?
Best Thread Starter: Urban.
Most Missed Poster: Howard the Duck RIP. I also miss The Nice Guy, where'd he go?
Thread of the Year: I enjoyed the cut-and-thrust of the "Obama vs Romney" thread
Journal of the Year: Janszoon's "25 albums" or US's "Pounding decibels", with an honourable mention for Big Ears' "Rabbiting on".
Moderator of the Year: Janszoon. Always ready to help, always friendly.
Best New Member 2012: Not sure
Member of the Year 2012: Howard again, just out of respect.
Biggest Lounge Lizard: Again, not certain what that means exactly so will pass on this
Member you'd most like to meet in real life: Jackhammer, Janszoon, Anteater, US, Big Ears: think I'd get on well with all you guys, IF I had spare time to meet (which I don't) and if you were able to come to Ireland.
Member you'd most want to avoid meeting in real life: HHBH and Engine
Biggest Wanna-Be Moderator: Vegangelica, in the nicest way possible
Most amusing Shoutboxer: I've never once been in the Shoutbox, so I'll pass on this.

As usual there are too many to mention on this forum but I would say NSW, Vanilla, Fetcher, AwwSugar, WWWP, ThePhanastasio, Hermione and Lateralus all deserve mention. I know thats more than three.

Smartest Poster: janszoon, Bob and I bet a lot of people wouldnt give hermione enough credit for how smart she is.

Funniest Member: Batlord. He seems to be forever turning a phrase or cracking a joke and, as he does this so much, naturally sometimes it hits and sometimes it misses. However there have been a number of occasions I have logged in here and seen a string of posts from batlord that have all made me crack up and this makes the forums a much more enjoyable place to visit.
Best Mediator: Janszoon
Biggest Troll:I have to believe that realtalk92 was a troll or I'd just be too depressed.
Most Improved Member: The Batlord. Jackahmmer summed up my feelings perfectly. Theres a difference between a metal fan and a 'metalhead'. I consider myself a metal fan rather than a metalhead, because I can appreciate other music and don't judge a persons taste in music depending on whether they like metal or not. I used to think Batlord was a metalhead and over time I have realised he isn't.
Most Underrated Poster:

Best Music Taste: Bob, because he seems to have the time for most types of music and doesn't seem the type to judge something before he's heard it.
Biggest Music Nerd: Bob, Jackhammer and I think Goofle deserves a mention. I assume that Goofle can listen to music at work and therefore always have his Spotify going, or I have no idea how he manages to get through as much music as he does. Sometimes I have found the frequency of his posting rather overwhelming but hey, this is a music forum, and he is always sharing his feelings about what it is he is listening to which can only benefit this community.

Thread of the Year: WWPs Picture Gallery. It may not be a music-related thread but it is unique, personal and time-consuming for her. A wonderful idea and very well done.

Moderator of the Year: LoathsomePete. However Janszoon has given all he usually does to the forum this year, and BurningDown has a done a wonderful job too. They all have really, making this forum a presentable and organised place for everyone to visit and volunteering their time to do all that it takes to achieve this, whether they all receive the appreciation for this or not.
Best New Member 2012: Rjinn. Hands down. Seems a lovely person, has a great taste in music, and is a real asset to the forums.
Member of the Year 2012: The year of Bob.
Biggest Lounge Lizard: Hermione
Member you'd most like to meet in real life: I'd wanna go drinking with NSW, Fetcher and Bob, I think. To a bar that plays Electronic music, has the football on and serves quality beers. That should keep everyone happy.
Member you'd most want to avoid meeting in real life: I dont think I could carry a conversation with HHBH, Franco or mankycaant so I'll say them.
