that's why it ends up feeling so clunky on a computer. It is a bit more intuitive with touch devices as far as being able to navigate it quickly.

My first gen iPad is starting to get pretty dated but for the things I use it for (Netflix, ebooks, comics, basic browsing, etc.) it does the job just fine.

I'd honestly give the Microsoft Surface a look. You can attach a full keyboard to it and use it just like a laptop so it becomes far more portable and I have a feeling Windows 8 becomes bearable if you use it for what it was actually designed for.
Ta, seen this recommended a fair bit. Basically the guy said that it's the best tablet out, iPads and Nexus' are good if you just want to play Angry Birds and go on Facebook but they aren't good enough for proper work.

I don't think the screen size would bother me tbh.

The new OS is mostly fine, by the way, though I do think they've made the music and iBooks apps worse in it.
Nice one mate.

Nice one DJ.

I don't care about hype, their products have been hyped for years but I've not bought cos there were just better alternatives available, for less money. I'm anti Apple but I would probably buy one of their products if I could justify it and it was the best one for what I wanted.

Which did you prefer?

Yeah screen size doesn't bother me either. I used to watch movies and tv shows from Netflix on a 3.53-inch screen from my 3DS and I didn't care.

I'm gonna get a new phone.

I examined an HTC One today and thought it was pretty sexy. I've never had an Android phone and I kinda want one. I'm obsessive about these decisions and I've spent a few hours drinking and reading reviews of various phones and now I'm leaning towards the iPhone 5S.

I'm well aware of the general Apple/non-Apple debate so don't feel like you need to educate me about that, but please do tell me which phone you think I should get. And why I should get it. HTC One (M8) or iPhone 5S. I need better reasons than Apple is evil and restrictive while Android is "more open." I want your personal reasons. Please help.

I had a HTC wildfire and it had very little internal storage. It used to play up all the time and would crash over and over, I had to keep resetting it. Graphics and capability wise it's nice, had a good camera and the layout of the applications was pretty. I was pretty rough with my phone, I dropped it so many times yet it didn't break. Before you tell me the phone being dropped would have been the phones crashing problem, you're wrong, it literally started from the moment I got it but I lost the damn receipt so had to just put up with it. A month ago it stopped reading my sim card, I tried both Telecom and 2 Degrees sims but no cigar.

I ended up buying another, I got the Samsung Galaxy Y which is lovely. It also doesn't mind being dropped (I'm so uncoordinated and clutzy). It can be a little slow opening applications (but it's cheap which means it's not as advanced as the other Samsung Galaxy's) but updates them quickly, has better voice control (it actually knows what I'm asking it to do). It's good for calling people, it looks up people with ease and has an actual contacts app which the HTC didn't have (which annoyed the hell out of me , you had to do 3 options before you could get to the list of contacts). The camera has a lot more options than my HTC so is fun to play around with. I installed AVG which means it can be tracked, wiped, and locked if it's stolen or lost, Samsung has an app for this too but you can never be too secure with the private stuff in your phone as well as passwords to other websites and credit card information.

I have used a iPhone 4 when I was working at a recruitment agency. It was so easy to use. I actually love the way it's set up, it's pretty and it has cameras on the front and back which have really cool features. The newer ones have Siri to make things easier to play with.

I'm not really a phone expert but that is my general experience with them. The HTC was faster and bigger screen size while my Samsung is slower but is easier to use. Let's see what other people think so you can get another perspective.

Well, I'm incredibly biased towards apple products because I was born into a family that uses only apple products. Also, my family's service plan is wicked cheap because we use an iPhone family plan.

I got the 4 six years ago and now I have the iPhone 5. I've never had any real complaints with it that would make me even consider switching to a different phone.

The only issue with the iPhone I could see is if you want to sync your music to it, you would have to use the iTunes Store either way for that, and I've never had any real issues with the iTunes Store either.

Other than that, Vanilla covered the main points.

Also, apple is evil??? Who told you that? I dun know what you meant by that.

Lol, I'm just teasing you bb. I just googled 'satan iPhone'. I don't have any problem with iPhone, but like you said, music wise it can be very restrictive and also not all apps are available. My Samsung is sooo easy, you literally just connect it to your computer and drag the music into the music folder and bam, you're ready to go.

Wow, you must be really sheltered. It's a general feeling that is shared among certain tech geeks who think that Apple exploits stupid people who crave convenience from their devices, and political activists who think Apple is somehow exploiting the 3rd world more than other tech companies.

I don't care about/believe any of that though and, like I said, I'm leaning toward the iPhone. I really like Apple, but I also like the big beautiful screen on the HTC One.
