Default My sob story

I could have put this in the Bitch Box, but it's too meaningful a story for that.

I have been working hard making a video game, I am a hobbyist video game developer. I have spent countless hours on my video game and hundreds of dollars. My dream was to get the video game I was making on the Apple App Store for iOS devices (iPad, iPhone). I am in debt because of this video game and was planning on making the money back through the App Store, because you get a majority percentage of the money made from sales of the game. Well making a game for mobile iOS devices involves using a computer and porting it to the iPad or iPhone or whatever. The translation from the computer to the iPad caused my video game to be slow (laggy) and the music would not work. I had tested it before but had not tested every aspect of it. And recently I had thrown more money on it, which will turn out to be a waste because I won't be able to release the game on the App Store like I paid the submission fee for, and also one of the final steps to the submission process is syncing my iPad with my PC through iTunes and for some strange reason, my iPad generally won't sync correctly with my PC no matter what I do. I don't expect you to understand every word of what I'm saying, but who knows, maybe you can somehow relate.

Video game making is becoming a former hobby of mine and I'm moving into music. You will see a post from me about my starting career in music once I have enough posts to post a Journal.

I will probably get some insults or insuations thrown my way between now and actually achieving a dream of greatness through music, mostly because people don't know me very well yet. People have assumed that I'm young and insecure. And that was just batlord. I'm not uptight though so it just gives me a good laugh, it doesn't offend me.

Anyway in other news, I tend to view this forum from afar since I joined more so than participating and it feels like I'm getting to know some cool people here. It might be part of the reason why I'm opening up now. Anyway, that's all I have to say.

When you accept that everyone is Batlord, you can transcend musici itself.

Well, just keep trying. Test and adjust. That's how it goes with those kinds of things. I'm sure you'll be able to iron out the kinks in the game you're working on.

One of the tricky things about iOS development is managing memory leaks and memory deallocation. It's something you have to pay close attention to when developing for a device with limited memory like an iPad. This could be the main reason for the game becoming slow and lagging but it could be other reasons too.

You mentioned you were using a PC to develop your games, is it an actual PC with Windows or did you mean an Apple Mac?
