Then I discovered the yellow-jacketed Gollanctz science-fiction novel series, and the path of my life was forever set...

I like that smell too, though sometimes I find it kind of overpowering.
On the subject of childhood memory smells: I love the smell of freshly cut wood. My dad ran a small construction company out of our house when I was growing up and I spent a lot of time on job sites with him as a result. Now that smell just brings back happy memories. There's a house being constructed on the corner of my block right now and I've really been enjoying the smell every time I walk by. |
