Im all for people being treated equally. But for a goverment to force their version of equality on me is not ok.

What exactly do you mean by equality? It kind of sounds like you have a talk radio understanding of socialism. I'm not trying to insult you, as I'm usually floating somewhere in between fiscal liberalism and conservatism myself, but you do come off like you're stereotyping.

I said I have an average understanding. And it's not a crime to not want to understand something that has had some serious failures born out of it. (The Nazi party, comes to mind.)

Dont say you didn't mean to come off as a dick, when in fact yeah ya did, That's the normal subconscious reaction to my openess in saying yeah I really am not interested in learning more about it.Makes it easy to lump me in with other fanatical right wing Reagan lovers..

I do not think socialism will work in the US. We do not have that type of mentality here.And thinking we can change an entire societies culture is ****ing tyrannical and will end in dictatoresque proptions.

Edit: By trying to have a capitalist society only produce things out of comon need effectively snuffs out the American dream.

Yeah. You're beyond reasoning with or having any type of rational, enjoyable discussion when you simply close off because something is bad because you know it's bad because it is.

Fun fact: We do have socialism here in the U.S., we just don't call it that because conservative culture has turned it into a no-no word. Read up on FDR sometime.

And if you actually understood socialism you'd know that the Nazis weren't real socialists and even if they were it wouldn't be enough to discredit the entire ideology.
