Reminds me of people who get scarification. I remember on a show watching a guy that wanted to have a shotgun wound. He literally let someone fire buckshot into his upper anatomy with a skilled emergency med in waiting. Dude was screaming like a little baby and acted surprised that getting shot would be painful. I loathe the human race at times. :soapbox:

Today I saw a guy who had holes in his ear so big you could put your fist into it. I don't understand what compels someone to do that?

I see stuff like that all the time and I don't get it either. What's worse is when you see someone who has the huge guages and then takes them out... they have these just flappy little strings at the bottom of their ears. ****ing gross, dude. And for what? A fashion statement no one is gonna give a **** about in 5 years? Smaller plugs are cool though.

I think it's ridiculous that people are turned away for how they present themselves. There are very few jobs where how you look has an impact on your ability to actually do the work involved. If someone wants to get a face tattoo and work at a law firm, why shouldn't they be able to?
