Second, I concur with all the outrage over BD's insulting lovedump. IF --- and only if --- it was meant as a joke, it would have to be between her and them, and be seen as such. It obviously wasn't. It seemed serious. So yes, let's track down the person responsible and beat the cra -- I mean, show them the error of their ways in an enlightened twenty-first century --- ah hell with that! Who's got jumpleads and oil to conduct the electricity? Yeah I watched "24": what about it? That guy had some good ideas about interrogation methods!

Seriously, BD ignore what was said: the total reverse is true and everyone here knows it. Whoever that is can just go fuck themselves, as with an attitude like that and manners like that it's the only fucking they're likely to ever get! We're all here to defend you, as I'm sure you know.

I get the feeling someone is deliberately using it to insult others, but that it may be intended as a joke. BDs does seem a little blunt mind, so either they got carried away and took it too far or it is just blatantly an insult intended as an insult and that **** shouldn't fly here. I think if someone sent it, and didn't mean it, or it was a joke that got out of hand or misinterpreted, now is the time to stand up. If that person does not, then we can all take it that it was meant, and the sender is unlikely ever to admit to doing it.

Well it depends on what happens.
If it's a joke that BD took the wrong way and the person that did it held their hands up and admitted it and apologised to her then I wouldn't have a problem with that.

But if it turns out was flat out abuse and someone goes around boasting it was them, then I will.

And if I see anyone anywhere saying 'Lol I did it' even if they're not being serious they'll be going for a while too.

It MIGHT be possible to trace this. The perp has to have asked for the password yes? So if we assume he or she did it pretty quickly once they had the p/w, all we need is to correlate the time BD received it with the requests received from any mods. If we have a close enough thing, ie if member X say PMed you asking for the pm at 7:10 and BD received the message at 7:15, I think you're 90% close to having your culprit.

If you mods want to check? If BD wants to know, that is. She may be happier just to drop it rather than find out who has seriously anything against her, as if anyone could.

Also, I'd watch out for Dan, whoever you are: I hear he's big and strong.

I fear that's heading into witch hunt territory. I mean, I asked for the password and I haven't sent a single message yet.

This is what I was gonna say, and the sender could have asked for the PW then sent loads of PM's before the one to BD.

They also might simply have remembered the password from last year.

You can, however, look at the time you got the hate dump, then look at the PM from Administrator that gets sent when someone uses another account (lovedump) on the same computer as their normal account. The notification PM right before you got your hatedump, showing the person that's using multiple accounts is probably the person that sent it. Or it might be right after your hate dump. I can only confirm that if I find out who sent me the little ID card love dump, because I know who sent me the other lovedump, and they tripped the notification 20 minutes after I got the PM from that person.

So I can narrow down between 2 people who sent me the ID card thing. I just didn't think one of those people would have sent it, so...
