Hehe Russians are so sexy full stop. The language is really hard to learn apparently. They have a lot of words that can't be translated to English.
Oh, finally someone explained to me what "yalla" means, lol
A friend of mine is married to an Arab, and she learned the language for him..
Which is kinda romantic :P She tought me a little bit of it too, but not much..

Oh yes they are And that although they grew up in a nation, that has for centuries every few years in springtime hunted down the most beautiful girl of a village until she died of exhaustion.

Oh that's so lovely that she did that. I started learning it while I was dating my Jordanian ex but he would eventually want me to turn Muslim for him which I would never do. He was jealous and that eventually ruined the relationship because he couldn't trust me, even though I never ever did anything to suggest that.

I've never heard of them hunting the most beautiful girl, do you have a link where I could read about it?

It's pretty obvious. His correct religion did not jive with your correct religion. All these true and correct religions make it pretty hard to interface with each other when they contradict one another for whatever arbitrary reason.

Yeah, that's the problem about most of the followers of main religions..
They always try to lurk you into their beliefs,
instead of just accepting the other one's faith and just enjoying the time you can share with the other person. It's always just about converting.
I'm pagan. And I don't talk about anyone with that.
I find religion too intimate to actually talk about it.

It's actually called "Весна священная" (Rite of Spring).
I learned the meaning about it because of a piece,
that was composed by my most beloved composer Igor Stravinsky.
The Rite of Spring - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The problem is, whenever I type it into google, it's has something to do with Sravinskys piece, lol..so you have to read a little through it

Still I really don't understand it. I mean, I'm from bavaria - we speak a much softer german, but still: it can be very very beautiful, if you talk sophisticated german. Hmm.. Maybe one has to understand the language to understand its beauty.
Well.. it's your opinion. thank you for the answer tho
I speak some German. Not a lot but it has been years since I used it. I agree that it is not the most beautiful language but I also think that it depends on who is speaking it. My German teacher has the most beautiful voice and when she spoke it, it sounded grand.

The thing that makes the German language beautiful,
is the complexity and the level at which you can talk.
You can say so many things that are just not possible to be said in the english language, except by circumscription..
I mean I am absolutely in love with the sound of the english language..
It's so simple and beautiful (especially british english),
but the German language allows you to use so many metaphors,
and everything is just very poetic, no matter how banal it is.

I'm learning it because its a cool language. It just sounds really cool. However I have trouble with word order and die, der, and das.
