Tell me, do you turn every chip over to see which side has the most flavoring so that side can be the one against your tongue? Until of course you are too debased to bother with single chips.

No, I don't. I've honestly never thought to do that. Once I start eating them, I become a raving madman who can't be bothered to inspect them individually before I shove them down my Dorito chute. But the method you describe sounds like a sound one for maximum pleasure.

What's your favorite chip, besides Doritos? Or top 3 if it's too difficult?

Man I don't even know. Cheeto dust is its own food group and the crunch is excellent, Chex mix aren't chips of any kind but the variety of taste and texture that is also uniform is immensely satisfying but also interesting cause each handful is different, but for one chip to rule them all it has to be any kind of kettle cooked chip. You can feel the crunch in your toes. The flavor is honestly secondary to your mouth becoming one with the chip. Even plain ass salt and pepper is on another plain of existence from other chips. Lays is an abomination by comparison.

You are completely correct when it comes to Kettle Cooked chips. My all time favorite Kettle Cooked chip is this beauty:

This is basically the perfect chip. It's Kettle Cooked, so it's got the crunch, it has ridges, so it has texture - and salt and pepper taste is absolutely effin perfect. It's incredible. There's only one chip, a humble chip honestly, that somehow exceeds this chip solely based on the flavor and the addictiveness, and it's the following:

If God ever designed a chip for us, it would be this one. If you haven't had it before, do yourself a favor and try it immediately.

I wouldn't include Chex mix or cheetos in the realm of chips, though they have their own benefits as you mentioned. My runner up chip? Humpty Dumpty All Dressed - just a delightful flavor filled and crunchy chip - an all around balanced great:

Here's a dark horse honorable mention - a beauty of a chip that's as addictive as it is tasty. A sensation for the senses:

Omg I have ****ed up so many bags of these specific chips my mouth can feel them right now. I'll check out those Wise onion and garlic chips. Onion and garlic is in fact the superior chip flavor. And can we both agree that barbecue flavored chips are garbage? They don't even taste good and the flavor builds up on your tongue until they make you want to gag.

Oh wait no I haven't had crinkle cut kettle cooked chips. I didn't think they needed ruffles. Well now I'm curious.

Ah Kettle chips/crisps are delicious and addictive and my worst enemy in the supermarket. Whenever I see them my only defence is to walk past as fast as I can

They don't need them really, but once you feel that textured crunch, you might start to think they do.
