Tried an apricot for the first time. Pretty good I GUESS but I like other fruit more.

Maybe I just ate it at the wrong time. The skin texture of the fruit felt weirdly soft and uncomfortable like a velvet blanket and the fruit inside tasted sort of sour.

Are apricots rare in the US or something?
