There’s nothing scientific about this (that I know) but dogs seem to be able to maintain excellent health with a very repetitive diet.

If we’re just going on horse sense here we could make arguments against a diverse diet. You’re body has to adjust. It throws your digestion off. Whatever.

It beats a more homogeneous diet because only eating a handful of foods is much less likely to include all of the nutrients that you need than including more variety. If a homogenous diet covers that ground then you're good, I was strictly speaking to how I understand mind's diet where the only veggies he's getting are carrots and subway toppings.

That’s raw horse sense.

The doctor that hosts the Skeptics Guide to the Universe says that a lot of times things that make perfect sense don’t pan out under scientific scrutiny. I never gave things like that a second thought until I started listening to that podcast.
