I don't have Cable, and for some reason they just never showed a whole lot of TOS reruns on network television when I was growing up, so I probably haven't even seen most of that show. So I actually can't say.

Absolutely. I'd go probably TOS (simply because without it the others would not exist, and for Kirk and Spock) then Next Gen, then DS9, then Voyager and then Enterprise, the latter because it was so bad I lost interest after one season, whereas with Voyager I struggled up to about five then sort of rejoined near the end --- and wished I hadn't.

Mind you, Babylon 5 blows them all out of the stars!

I barely saw any of Enterprise after the first season, as I went to military school where we didn't have Fox, or UPN, or whatever channel it was on. Also missed the last season of Buffy too. But I liked the first season of Enterprise. It was clearly not the best Star Trek series, and was at that point a retread of TOS, Next Generation, and yes, even Voyager, but it also had some underrated characters. Unless he went downhill later on, I'd say that Archer got the shaft just by being associated with the show, but he was actually an excellent captain; like Kirk if he was more badass but not as skeevy. I can't forgive the show focusing on the Sulaban and ignoring the war with the Romulans though. That was bull****.

This is an oxymoron.

I liked Voyager. It's not the bee's knees or anything but it's also not pants.

Yes it is. To find out why, check our new journal once we have it up and running.

In fairness, Voyager had some good episodes and some good ideas, but surrounding one, maybe two decent actors with planks of wood, giving them the kind of writing often associated with simians operating typewriters, and pretending that what happened last episode didn't happen, or doesn't matter, was not the way to make this a good Trek show.

I fully accept that some people liked it, but the general consensus on Trek boards is that it was the worst of the three, maybe even the four. Anyway, of course you're entitled to your opinion Jansz, but if you want to read mine then warp --- or transwarp! --- on over to the journals section in a day or so, once Batty and I have got our **** together. Should be fun!

I'll certainly read it, though I already know Batty's right.

I'm willing to be the moderator if you haven't already found someone. I know original Star Trek, Next Generation and DS9 very well. Know some of Voyager but nothing of Enterprise.

Pretty much sound on all the major races etc like Klingons, Romulans and Borg etc

You'd be perfect. Now all you need do is recite the Klingon death ritual flawlessly (all twenty-four verses of it), from memory, and you're in!

We'll let you know when we're online and we can discuss then how you'd have your input, or how you'd like to participate. I think head of the Klingon High Council sounds about right?
