Default Thinking

So, we all do it. Some of us less than others, but they do it nonetheless. Have you ever heard the phrase "think before you speak" or "think before you do." Imagine a life where your thoughts had absolutely no effect on your actions whatsoever. Is there anything you would do/would have done differently if you didn't have to think it through first? I understand that this question is ironic since you're having to think about it, but that's part of the fun.

Do you ever wonder where you'd be in life if you never had to think about whether or not the action you were going to take would either positively or negatively impact your life? And also, have you not done something because you knew it would have a negative impact on your life?

I imagine I would have gotten into more relationships or overdosed and died. Probably both.

I'll have to start thinking before I act as it is and get back to you

I definitely would have separated from my family earlier, disregarded religion earlier, banged a lot of people, and gotten a really good job.

I was kind of hoping for an answer like this, not in a way that I hoped someone was doing things without thinking, but I have always thought it'd be an interesting experiment to see how much positive can come to someone when they start thinking, and how much negative can come to someone who stops thinking. It'd also be interesting to see if that proves to be complete bull**** in the sense that regardless of whether we think or not, we can be positive or negative either way.

I hope i'm making sense.
