Ouija Boards

Anyone ever had one?

I love to hear the stories :)

Surell 02-17-2015 06:58 PM

my whole family caught on fire.

Cuthbert 02-17-2015 07:06 PM

Personally wouldn't bother with stuff like this. But there must be some great stories on here.

simplephysics 02-17-2015 07:10 PM

A very mean spirited friend of mine totally scared the **** outta me with a ouija board when we were younger. She convinced me that we unlocked some kind of spirit portal and there was one was after me. Being a relatively sheltered and gullible child I totally bought it. This is the same person that also introduced me to "shadow people." To this day I still jump when I see a moving shadow when I'm alone.

Music-Fanatic 02-17-2015 07:10 PM

I was looking to buy one on amazon but the reviews are to try and put you off lol.

The Batlord 02-17-2015 07:48 PM

I don't believe in any of that stupid ****, but I still wouldn't **** with a Ouija board for anything. Either it's bull**** and a waste of time, or a good way to supernaturally **** your life up. So regardless of how much I don't believe in them, the cost/benefit analysis is completely on the side of not ****ing with them.

Besides, when it comes to that kind of stuff, my imagination messes with me far too much for it to be a fun experience.

RoxyRollah 02-17-2015 07:55 PM

spirit boards.....no touchie.

Trollheart 02-17-2015 07:56 PM

No way. Had a bad experience with one. Never again.
Mates all sat around the table with the candles lighting and then someone asked "Is anyone there?" Bloody glass starts moving!!! We watched it move slowly across the board to the letter N, then over to O.
No?
**** that. Brought it back the next day for me money back, said it was broken.

I'm sorry, should I tempt demonic possession just to prove what a badass I am?

John Wilkes Booth 02-17-2015 08:05 PM

i have been waiting for an encounter my whole life

i refuse to believe until one steps to me personally

RoxyRollah 02-17-2015 08:05 PM

no, you should tempt demonic possession because it would make reality 10x more interesting

The Batlord 02-17-2015 08:09 PM

Dude, I'm fine with aliens and the hollow earth and ghosts and all that **** existing to make a more interesting world, but I'd prefer to keep certain things at a distance. Give me the hot alien nymphos, but keep your malevolent spirits.

John Wilkes Booth 02-17-2015 08:12 PM

there is some "haunted" abandoned hospital around here. a friend and i went in there looking for ghosts one night. i was a bit creeped out at first but mostly at the prospect of running into a pack of crackhead squatters or something along those lines. but if ghosts or anything like that exists i want to meet them. i'm tired of other people having ghost stories and not me

^ All of this.

Trollheart 02-18-2015 11:08 AM

Yeah, it's like Ben Elton said: some of us don't believe in God but we keep that tiny little piece of self-doubt in our mind just in case .... "Let me in you bastards! I believe!"

The Batlord 02-18-2015 11:18 AM

I once had a friend who I almost moved in with (thank god that never happened) and he informed me of his plans to hang Ouija boards around the house (had a thing for weird stuff). He was kind of a control freak, and wanted to decorate the apartment pretty much according to his whims alone. I was fine with that, as I really could care less, and he did have some cool **** around his place, like candles that he would light instead of actual lights, but I put my foot down with the Ouija board thing. He didn't appreciate that, but I made sure he knew, under no circumstances would I allow that to happen. Whatever he wanted was fine, just not that.

I believe in nothing. I'm a good nihilist who requires extraordinary evidence for extraordinary claims. I'm just naturally high strung when it comes to "spooky stuff". Horror movies do nothing to me, but an hour on the No Sleep section of Reddit will make me scared of the dark like a five-year-old.

And like I said, I see no benefit to using a Ouija board. Pretty much every story I've heard falls into three categories: 1) nothing happens, 2) something unsettling but inconclusive happens that provides no benefit, or 3) the participants' lives are ruined and they're possibly damned to hell.

What's the point? The only way for me to be convinced that something supernatural happened would be for my life to become dominated by **** I want no part of.

RoxyRollah 02-18-2015 11:40 AM

^ Cetics sucks.Hows that for emperical evidence?

FRED HALE SR. 02-18-2015 11:43 AM
