Your best (or worst) "dad" moments
 

Every one of us over a certain age has had them, that moment when you either realised you were "that age" or said or done something and then realised how like your parents you sounded. Any examples?

(Obviously, dad moments refer to ladies too, I just don't think they call them mom moments do they?)

I think one of mine is looking at the X Factor and saying "Oh that's not music. In my day people wrote their own songs...." GAAAHHHH! Where's me walking stick? Fetch me pipe!

Browsing through a People magazine while waiting in the check out line and realizing I don't know who half of the celebrities profiled in it are.

Wow. Just wow.

All the time and i f*ckin hate it!

I can hear my grandma and mother's words coming outta my mouth
"this is why we can't have nice things" "Money doesn't grow on trees" "oh sweet father"

All their complains have become my complains and i end up unconsciously saying the same trigger words as them.

i knew i was old when one day at work i was talking with a group of co workers my age about f*cking traffic routes while there was a group of younger coworkers talking about recent hookups.

that's the moment it became apparent to me i got old ppl priorities now.

I realized I was an inadequate oldie the day my son wanted a partner to play Halo with. My on-screen character was a hopeless drunk - staring at the floor, staring at the sky and stumbling at every step. After ten mins the experiment was abandoned, and I was never invited to play again!
