Seriously, take into account the time differential. You posted at 0905 Irish time. Most Americans (and a huge percentage of the people here are 'Muricans) are maybe heading to bed or still out drinking at this time. Join the current discussions, esp in the jokes/current affairs subforums but in the end don't expect everyone to be on all the time: people have to sleep. And they get bored.

Try starting a new thread with a subject that hasn't been tried before: that will get some interest going. But be patient. Maybe try something controversial to draw people in (though not like Batty's one of mixing pedophilia and necrophilia ffs!) and get some conversation going. It's just slow at the moment, it won't be later on. The forum goes through periods like this; we're all only human.

Except me. ;)

I'd also add that your somewhat close-minded view of people's music tastes here is not endearing you to anyone. You need to be a bit more accepting of other members' tastes. And, why did you make two threads about the very same subject? That's not gonna help your case either, nor make you popular with the mods.

As an example of changing or trying to change your musical horizons, look into any of the spate of "rec me albums" threads springing up on the main music page, including my own, "Love or Hate?", to see how a person's preconceptions can be challenged.

Or, just keep whining and be left with no friends. It's up to you. Be the change.

In b4 they bring up Ke$ha and Katy Perry in defense of that argument, and have never heard of any of the artists you list in contradiction.

This is coming from a person who professes to be a Progger but hates the band ELP, and the album ABACAB by Genesis. He hates Jazz of all things. Prog without Jazz influence is like House or Acid without a TB 303. :rolleyes: He tells dad jokes all the time, but can't detect Frownlandhumour and doesn't like the movie Office Space. :confused: He also kicked me out of the Prog album review club. What you're doing is the same; you don't like certain prog bands but I don't slag you over that. And my "Love or Hate?" thread has shown beyond any doubt that I'm willing to listen to anything; although nobody can make me likr what I hate. That doesn't invalidate it though, and I don't go around saying how can you listen to this it's crap? And you know full well you were kicked out of the PRAC for being unable to play the keyboard solo from "One for the vine" flawlessly. Come on man, we all had to do it.

Well, either that, or that you decided you would review only the albums you liked and would pick and choose. I think I explained it at the time. If I didn't, tough. I'm sure you're glad the poor old PRAC is dead and buried now.
