Two big dogs, a few well placed baseball bats (and yes, splintered ends are a must) and for a middle of the night home invasion I can have my glock out of the safe and chambered in about 5 seconds. I keep it loaded but not chambered. I want whoever is downstairs to hear the rack of the slide.
