Pub is always a good plan!

When are you going on holiday? Where is it you are going again?

^ Nice, how long are you going for? If you've got a little bit of time, i'd STRONGLY recommend getting out of Marmaris for a little while and visiting some other places along the coast. Dalaman is very close, and is a really beautiful little town. Butterfly Valley is a must, such a beautiful spot, although it's getting pretty crowded now. If you can arrange it, go to Kabak instead of butterfly valley, the beach is way better and there are next to no crowds. Have fun!

i don't know where Marmaris is located in Turkey, but i'd also suggest visiting Cappadocia, it's a beautiful city built into the strange rock formations surrounding the area.

you also got fairy chimneys and ancient caves, and if you're feeling adventurous they offer ATV tours of the surrounding area and hot air balloon rides

definitely one of my favorite areas of the country, but it's a good 13 hours away from marmaris

selcuk's beautiful, I've been there twice now, such a pretty little town. I've been pretty near everywhere in western turkey by now (well everywhere that's a tourist destination anyways). Cappadocia and the western mediterranean area are by far my favorite parts of the country. I'm off to explore the black sea coast and eastern turkey in about a month now, so excited for it.

yeah we stayed clear of eastern turkey when we visited back in '07 i believe. guess it had to do with being bordered by both Iran and Iraq.
