Lost my phone on the bus on the way to work. Another reason why I NEED a car. They didn't put my potato scone on my sausage rolls when I ordered my breakfast in. I had to spend the whole day walking on egg shells because the assistant manager who wants to fire me was on poolside ALL day. Had the best Mcdonalds ever. Set the car alarm off on my mums car TWICE. Neighbours pryed. Got my beloved Anchorman and Talladega Nights dvds back. All in, mediocre day. Still angry at my phone losing right enough.

True, i didn't really know how to defend myself. Basically one of my friends started by saying the new Linkin Park song is **** and i said "were they ever any good in the first place?". Then one of his girlfriend's friends got all defensive and started saying that i listen to crappy indie and have no taste in music. It was like arguing with a devoted Christian over the existence of god.

I think that sums up how crappy my day was.
Facepalm. Yeah that's a pretty retarded statement. How did you react?

I told her it was a ridiculous statement, and felt like shouting but kept calm.

Not really. At least top 40 fans aren't as self-righteous as straightedge hardcore fans and at least top 40 is more of a mixed bag style-wise.

hell no. at least hardcore fans love music. i feel i could convince a hardcore kid to expand if he/she is cool enough. i can't take any more than five minutes of someone talking about how they kind of like john mayer etc.

Meh. I've known a lot of hardcore kids who are just about being part of a scene and not particularly into music. And the person I was talking about in my original post was definitely one of those.

Good policy. But I figure I'd be unhappy doing pretty much any job and I'd rather make a decent living while suffering.....I'm new at the whole work thing though and feel like I need to give this shit at least a year or so seeing as how they gave me such an AWESOME OPPORTUNITY.

But yeah, every day's a trauma for me these days. Not sure if I wanna keep that going for the next 40 years...:\
