I will admit that I A) Spliced the two pumpkins into one photo in Photoshop because I only had one light source to light them with, and couldn't light them at the same time and 2) Brightened up the words a tad for easier reading, but that's all the cheating we did to make them.

Thank you though, I'll take skepticism as a compliment.

Haha... My teacher is crazy... he just emailed me saying "I'll be out sick Monday".
Uh... it's Friday. How do you know you'll be sick Monday?
Why not just say "I'll not be coming in Monday"? You seemed fine today in class. We know you aren't sick. And unless you're planning on actively going out for the purposes of getting sneezed on or something, you don't know if you'll be sick Monday. Are you psychic? Did you get a palm reading?

He's actually done this several times before. I'm not mad at him though... it's great. Just odd is all.
But thanks for the 3 day weekend!

amusingly enough, it was actually music that brought me back this time: lost everything I had when I stupidly forgot to back up an external that had all my music on it... rebuilding libraries is a painful experience

That's why I don't keep any music I don't want to lose, on an hard drive.

Unlucky.

Edit: Does that make any sense? I must be tired.

Oh it makes sense, and I've learned my mistake. I also learned when music that I already have 4 boxes of books and two of CDs to my name, so hard copies of everything I want to keep will have to wait till Uni is finished!

Considering all the other options, I wouldn't say you're safe in any scenario. Best bet is redundancy, but that's probably easier to achieve on hard drives or flash drives.

For me, I pretty much don't give a damn if I lose something... because it will inevitably be found on the old intarwebs. But yea... an entire library? I have it backed up on another identical drive and have a program to synchronize the drives regularly. If two of your drives go out at the same time, chances are, your planet has just been hit by an EMP.

I just spent 3 hours waiting for some people to arrive for someone's b-day party, then found out that they were going to hold it five hours later instead.

Weekend plans never go right with me.

EDIT: And after going during the time we were supposed to meet up, I waited a ****ing HOUR and no one showed up.

This is ****ing bull****.
