Best. Night. Ever... boyfriend (PaperHurricanes) & I went upty Saratoga with my grandparents, who bought us dinner for my birthday and gave us $200 spending money... so being who we are, we hit up borders, and blew it all on good lit & good tunes. Haha. Then we walked down to the Inn at Saratoga to see if they still did comedy night... they don't, haha. So we had CnC & coke at the bar and waited for my grandparents to get down there. Listened to Robert Plant's awesome album - Dreamland on the way home (it's reaaaally fuuckkkiinggg goooddd), and then got home and played Shenghai until about midnight, listening to Jean Grae & Immortal Technique, and we ordered a huge-ass pizza. Best night ever, haha. <3

Why is the bar serving you and your boyfriend.

Wifey Boozer 09-20-2008 12:22 PM

Cuz we look older, apparently. It was N/A though, I quit drinking.

lucifer_sam 09-21-2008 09:20 PM

Woke up, fell out of bed, dragged a comb across my head...

Animals died. Bitches were screaming in the streets. There were titties. Everywhere. I saw my best mate's head blown off. And then the shit started to fly.

I failed my Dynamics midterm.

TheBig3 09-22-2008 11:45 AM

I have to go get swabbed.

I'm always nervous about this ****. No symptoms, just as request from the new lady.

I don't even care so much for myself. I just don't want something to **** up the relationship from stupid youthful mistakes...

blah, think of me MB, i'd appreciate it.

Sat through class, not sure why, it was pointless, lost to my boyfriend at NHL 08, took a nap, started an essay exam that is due wednesday, and now playing on here. I think I am gonna go home, and have a glass of wine. I believe I deserve it. Not sure why, I just think I do. ;-)

Listened to a bucket load of demo's, nipped out for lunch on Ken High St with a certain management company, made several calls to the studio and am about to embark on another night of gigs - nice!

An ollie?

Alfred 09-26-2008 08:58 PM

Nah, that's pretty hard to snap a deck doing an ollie.

I ollied onto this platform and the middle part of my board landed on the edge and *snap*.

I got my new car today! Whooo!

Sweet. What make is it? Year? Pictures? I love cars. I've always wanted a red, 1969 Cadillac Convertable :D. Or one of those sweet, old Lincoln's Paul Newman drove around in in The Color of Money...

My day? I can tell you about my night, as this day's been rather uneventful thus far... Boyfriend came over and we played cards and listening to kick arse music. Then we watched the Presidential Debate (McCain showed up, tutut). Then we went in the room til 12:30AM. Good times, noodle salad :).

Also, making my uncle & grandfather a website for their construction/rehabilitation/masonry business. Getting on that after I get home from lunch with the Evil Russians.

Sweet times :D

When I was a kid my mates Dad used to take us to the old Belle Vue Aces Speedway stadium on Hyde Road. The memories of those days never left me.
The noise of the Jawa's racing around the oval track spraying shale behind them and the distinctive smell of methanol, all added up for an exciting night for a young lad.

Tonight I was going to take my son for the first time ever.
I've been stoking him up all weekend...he's been really looking forward to it, me too.
Then today darker memories of those speedway nights came flooding back...it fucking rained all day!!!
The meetings off...GUTTED. :(

lucifer_sam 09-29-2008 01:14 PM

Go white trash and take him to see a demolition derby. Immensely more fun for a little kid. An American one, anyways.

right-track 09-29-2008 01:41 PM

They've got Stock Car racing at the same venue, but I'm sure only on bank holidays.
And nothing beats the thrill of Speedway (apart from football). No gears, no brakes.

Anyway all's well. The fixture has been re-arranged for next Monday night. :D

lucifer_sam 09-29-2008 01:46 PM

I never saw the appeal of stock car racing, but then again, I have a shorter attention span than a sedated nursing home resident. It's real big on the other side of the pond, especially in rural areas.

right-track 09-29-2008 01:53 PM

Sounds like something from The Dukes of Hazzard.
Back in the day the Aces used to ride in front of big crowds. The old Hyde Road stadium had a 40,000 capacity.
Now they ride at the Greyhound stadium, but the noise from the bikes is just as deafening as ever.
And this in a densely populated area. The noise from the Speedway is part of the East Manchester scenery.

lucifer_sam 09-29-2008 02:01 PM

The Dukes may be the only aspect of that culture that I can endure (and they were awesome far and above). *Mostly it's just old, bald men with walrus moustaches and beer bellies looking for a way to waste their meaningless lives.

* In America

I've been absent since like Monday with a cold from hell... the doctor said it was an "upper resp. infection". And on the way home I forgot to fill my script for whatever "Z PACK" is. Cool.
