Thanks! Although I'll admit, I'm a little intimidated about the position. I just don't want to end up getting the job and then not being able to fill it properly. In any other business with a structured IT department, I wouldn't worry about that. I was sorta unprepared that basically their entire staff just collaborated to get themselves where they are in terms of networking technology, and becoming "the network guy" assumes that I'll be able to take over the role that they all previously filled.
It's a lot of shoes to fill.

I've been there Freebase. Getting thrust into the pressure cooker is a bit scary, but if you're prepared and confident that you have the knowledge for the job, then things will ease up after you've settled in... provided they do call you back for the job.

I applied and interviewed for a similar position once going in with only programming and CAD skills. They asked if I knew a few things (routers/porting/blah blah), and I told them I could learn very easily. They liked my gumption so much they called me back for a CAD position when one opened. It's all about how you "Sell It".

Good luck, and I hope you get it.

You can scratch your dog and you can scratch your balls, but you can't scratch your dog's balls.
