edit: Actually it's on the shipper. They could have paid extra to have the recipient sign for it before UPS can deliver, or at least put the thing in a generic box before sending. That said, I live in an apartment building where delivery people are usually courteous enough to at least leave packages on the patio (this was on the 1st floor). It's just Xmas that brings out the haste and apathy.

What time zone were the mayans in? If the world ends there where you are Vanilla in 7 hours..does that mean I have to sweat out the next 24 hours here just waiting for death? Or does it all occur at once?

Guess i'll play some R.E.M "end of the world" to set the mood for the day...

Technically, the Mayan people are still around, though in quite fewer numbers than they were, obviously. When I traveled to the Yucatan peninsula in Mexico, I met two Mayan women and their children. We chatted through a translator, and I bought a shirt that they had woven.
